What audiences are saying about the film
"This is a wonderful film that affected me deeply. I was left thinking for several days about the people in my life that needed to be forgiven for much lesser acts."
"This film is one of the most powerful pieces I've
ever had the opportunity to view. The film is gripping in the sense that
it carefully illustrates what true forgiveness and true love is all
about."
"My father and stepmother's murder happened 5 1/2 years ago… I felt pretty isolated and like I was struggling against the system alone. … it simply shows the side that so often gets silenced and it shows that those fighting for reconciliation instead of this false justice are not alone. Thank you."
"I wanted to say how much I was moved and impressed
by your film the other night. It really hit me at an emotional level,
it's a great piece of work."
"My friend’s husband brought the youth group from their church--he
said all the kids were watching intently, and some cried. One adult woman
chaperone even told him on the way home that the film changed her mind about
the death penalty"
"This wonderfully portrayed story can reach both
child witnesses and those serving children in grasping an understanding
how children are affected by violence."
"This film goes a long, long way in capturing the complexity of several
issues and the even greater convergence of these issues. Thank you and thank
you again for making such a powerful film."
"The best part of Love Lived on Death Row is Booker's ability to capture a depth of human love and forgiveness that leaves the viewer both teary-eyed and joyfully hopeful about the human potential to do good. "- Patrick O’Neill, The Independent Weekly
